Hi, I'm Anita Brown.
What I love about this work
I love looking at systems. Always have. Hand me a practice's schedule, a week of appointments, and an hour with the team, and I will happily spend the afternoon finding how the pieces fit together.
What I enjoy most is the moment a team can finally see its own system: the days the doctor intends to work, the chair and exam minutes those days hold, the sequences each case follows, and the room already in the building. Once it is visible, the next step stops being a guess.
How I work with teams
Every practice gets a solution built for that practice. There is no template for how a doctor likes to run a day, or how a team handles the two o'clock rush.
So I start by listening and watching. I ask the team what makes the office run like a well-oiled machine and what throws off the day. I look for where people wait on each other, where the schedule and the real day disagree, and where the same problem keeps coming back no matter what has already been tried.
Then we build. The plan comes from what the team already knows about the work and from what the numbers show about the system, and it is sized to the practice rather than to a benchmark or someone else's schedule.
How an engagement usually runs:
- Start with your goals, and the numbers behind them
- Watch how the week actually runs, with the team
- Make the system visible: days, chairs, sequences, capacity
- Name the bottleneck, and the friction around it
- Build the solution together, and stay through implementation
How I got here
I have spent more than two decades in small business operational development and systems. The years I spent inside a growing orthodontic practice gave me a grounded view of how the work actually happens — the individual, the team, the process, the environment, and the numbers underneath all of them.
I built the tools I wished I had then, so a practice can model scheduling, capacity, production, and growth at the appointment level, and test a change before committing to it.
Today I work with practices that are growing and can feel the strain on their systems before they can see it. The goal is simple: an operating system that supports the practice you are building, and a week that feels lighter for the doctor and the team.
Let's look at the system.
Every engagement starts with a conversation. Just your numbers, made visible.
